AMD Taking Strict Action Against Retailers Selling Radeon RX 6750 GRE GPUs Below MSRP In China

The AMD Radeon RX 6750 GRE GPUs have become a popular gaming option in China, offering great performance and value against the competition. However, it looks like AMD is not happy that some retailers are selling it below its MSRP.

AMD Radeon RX 6750 GRE GPUs Are Great Mainstream Option For Gamers In China But The Red Team Isn’t Happy About Its Retailer-Specific Prices

Ever since the AMD Radeon RX 6750 GRE GPUs launched, they have been a very strong offering in the mainstream segment. Both the 10 GB and 12 GB options offer such high value that AMD and partners decided to delay the launch of the Radeon RX 7600 series in China since gamers will simply get the better option which is the RX 6750 GRE. In terms of performance, the Radeon RX 6750 GRE even offer strong performance versus NVIDIA’s RTX 4060 and 4060 Ti GPUs as shown here.

Due to their huge popularity and good quantities, many retailers in China were offering the AMD Radeon RX 6750 GRE at slight discounts. The official MSRPs were 2219 RMB for the 10 GB and 2379 RMB for the 12 GB models however, the cards can be found as low as 2149 RMB and 2249 RMB & AMD isn’t fond of these price drops.

It is reported that AMD is taking strict action against retailers who are selling GPUs below their MSRPs. If a retailer is caught selling the cards below MSRP for the first three times, they will be charged 500 RMB per card sold below MSRP. For the fourth strike, AMD will not only charge a higher 1000 RMB penalty but also stop the allocation of the Radeon RX 6750 GRE GPUs to the said retailer. This is certainly the first time that we have seen AMD take such strict actions to assert its official MSRP over retailers and it looks like the penalties are hefty enough that most if not all retailers will comply.

Once again, the AMD Radeon RX 6750 GRE GPUs shouldn’t be disrupted by these measures since even at MSRP, they are considered the better values compared to the alternatives. These cards are only limited to China and won’t be making way to the US or EU markets outside of 3rd party sellers.
