ASRock Launches DeskMeet X600 PCs, PCH-Less Motherboard With AMD Ryzen 8000 & 7000 CPU Support

ASRock has finally launched its DeskMeet X600 PCs featuring a PCH-Less Mini-ITX motherboard & support for AMD Ryzen 8000 & 7000 CPUs.

ASRock’s DeskMeet X600 Lineup Starts The “PCH-Less” Motherboard Trend, Ideal For Compact AMD Ryzen PC Builds

The DeskMeet series by ASRock is famous for its industry-leading capabilities, and the new lineup is indeed no exception. The DeskMeet X600 PC lineup will support AMD’s Ryzen 8000G APUs & Ryzen 7000 series CPUs, with up to 65W of power support, depending upon what variant you opt for. The main highlights and features include:

Interestingly, the ASRock DeskMeet X600 PCs are equipped with a X600 PCH-less Mini-ITX motherboard, which is designed to utilize the onboard CPU I/O features to power the connectivity requirements by using the X600 PCH activator. This is an excellent addition to the SFF markets since removing a dedicated PCH allows manufacturers to make systems smaller. The motherboard features a 10-phase VRM and is powered by an 8-pin + 24-pin connector combination. It houses the AM5 socket which supports the existing Ryzen 8000G, Ryzen 7000 CPUs and will also extend support to future Ryzen CPUs.

Moving on to the onboard memory and storage options, the ASRock DeskMeet X600 series comes with four DDR5 DIMM slots, supporting up to 256 GB memory capacity and 7200+ OC memory speeds. For storage, you have two SATA3 6.0Gb/s ports, 1x PCIe Gen5 x4 and 1x PCIe Gen4 x4 slot, ensuring enough room for storage expansion, depending upon the use case. In terms of the discrete graphics capabilities, there is one PCIe 4.0 x 16 expansion slot available onboard, which does limit the use case to some extent, but it is ample enough for modern-day GPUs.

For connectivity options, the ASRock DeskMeet X600 features 4x USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A, 1x USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C, and 1x USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-C ports when combining both rear and front panels. Display connectors include 2x DisplayPort 1.4 and 1x HDMI, and ASRock has integrated one 2.5 GbE LAN Port for Ethernet connections for the network.

The ASRock DeskMeet X600 lineup is ideal for your day-to-day tasks and could even cater to your gaming needs as well, given that you decide to mount a decent dedicated GPU onto the unit, which is also something possible since the PC comes with a 500W 80+ Bronze power supply, although we won’t recommend fitting something high-end. There isn’t much going around regarding the unit’s appearance, and it’s a friendly old desktop with the traditional metallic black color scheme going around in the boxy 8-liter unit.
