ASUS has introduced its first ROG NUC Mini PC featuring Intel’s Core Ultra CPUs and up to an NVIDIA RTX 4070 GPU in a compact form factor.
ASUS ROG NUC Is A Compact Gaming Powerhouse With Intel’s Core Ultra CPUs & NVIDIA RTX GPUs
Ever since ASUS took up the helm of Intel’s NUC segment, we have been waiting to see more powerful gaming machines from them and the day is finally here. Meet the ASUS ROG NUC, a powerful yet compact Mini PC that offers top-notch specs and components in a 2.5-liter chassis that is easy to upgrade.
The ASUS ROG NUC is powered by Intel’s Core Ultra “Meteor Lake” CPUs with configurations up to a Core Ultra 9 185H. This chip will offer 16 cores, 22 threads, 24 MB cache, and up to 5.1 GHz clock speeds out of the box. The chip also comes with an Arc Xe-LPG iGPU which is a very performant integrated chip but being a ROG NUC means you are looking at an even faster discrete GPU which comes in your choice of RTX 4060 or up to an RTX 4070.
Other specifications include support for dual-channel DDR5 SODIMMs with up to 5600 MT/s speed and 128 GB capacities. The design itself is centered around a 2.5-liter chassis that can be placed both horizontally or vertically and has a top-notch cooling solution that allows the CPU to run up to 65W TDP (from 45W) and the GPU to run up to 140W (from 115W). Upgrading is made easier by a tool-less design which makes removing the top cover easier without the fuss of dealing with screws and the whole RGB LED layout with the glowing ASUS ROG logo is a fantastic touch to this machine.
I/O on the ASUS ROG NUC includes several USB Type-A and Type-C ports with WIFI 6E support and also quad 4K display capabilities. There’s no word on pricing yet but we will let you know as soon as we get more information.
