Lenovo has revealed plans for a next-generation version of its Legion Go handheld, claiming the firm will invest heavily in this segment.
Lenovo Plans On Increasing Its Presence In The Handheld Markets Through Next-Gen Legion Go Handhelds
At the Lenovo Innovate 2024 conference, Clifford Chong, who is the Gaming Category Manager for APAC, disclosed in a talk with journalists that consumers can expect a “Legion Go 2” from the company soon, given the success they have witnessed in the region, along with the immense potential this particular segment of computing holds. Chong said the firm was actively developing new solutions and focusing on existing engineering efforts to release the optimal iteration.
We are still spending a lot of resources improving on the current Legion Go over the span of the last 6 months since launch. We have unlocked from day one till now a lot more experiences and there are still engineering efforts to try to bring the next wave of features to the product.
Definitely it’s a product category that we do see potential in and we continue to invest and we are looking towards when the time comes right of course having the next generation to provide even more features.

While the official didn’t reveal anything else about the next generation of the Legion Go, we can only hope it will be on par with upcoming market offerings like the ROG Ally’s next iteration. The Legion Go has witnessed decent sales traction in the APAC region, and apparently, Lenovo has been the dominant company in the handheld segment. This is why the firm has formulated plans to dive more deeply into the markets, hoping to establish a wider consumer base.
We are unaware of any further details about Legion Go 2, so we can’t comment on its potential capabilities or even the launching details. However, based on how Lenovo has played its cards out with Legion Go, we can only hope that the next iteration will be much more exciting. We also talked about several upcoming AMD Ryzen APUs which can be a potential candidate for the next Lenovo Legion Go handhelds and its competitors. You can read more on that here.
