Patriot Rolls Out PV573 Gen5 SSD, Up To 14 GB/s & Slim-Black Active Cooler, Viper PD573 With DRAM-Less Maxiotek Controller, 8000 MT/s Viper Xtreme5 MPOWER DDR5 Memory

Patriot had some awesome stuff to showcase at its Computex booth such as new Gen5 SSDs up to 14 GB/s and 8000 MT/s Viper Xtreme DDR5 memory.

Patriot’s Flagship Gen5 SSD Gets A Black Tint With Slim Active Cooling, DRAM-Less Maxiotek Gen5 SSD & Viper Xtreme5 MPOWER DDR5 Revealed Too

Remember the slim and compact Viper PV553 Gen5 SSD from last Computex? Well, it’s been upgraded to the newer heatsink design, which is slightly taller but now eliminates all the active noise produced using an updated fan solution.

The drive based on the Phison E26 controller, features speeds of up to 12.4 GB/s Read and 11.8 GB/s write while coming in 1 TB, 2 TB, and up to 4 TB capacities. The 16.5mm profile still makes it the slimmest SSD on the market and has a thermal performance rated below 45C which is fantastic for a Gen5 drive of this size and performance. The cooler is connected via an IDE 4–pin disk power male or SATA power male dual connectors running at 5V.

Patriot also unveiled its brand new Viper PV573 Gen5 SSD which takes things up a notch with up to 14 GB/s Read and 12 GB/s write speeds in the same 16.5mm heatsink design. The drive will be coming in 1 TB, 2 TB, and 4 TB flavors and I like the darkened colors which gives the drive a more premium feel.

The manufacturer also displayed its upcoming Viper PF573 Gen5 SSD which features the latest Maxiotek “MAP1802A-F1C” DRAM-less controller that has four capacity variants, 1 TB, 2 TB, 4 TB, and up to 8 TB. The drive offers speeds of up to 14 GB/s Read and 12 GB/s Write.

Moving over to the memory side of things, Patriot showcased its new high-end Viper Xtreme 5 RGB MPOWER DDR5 modules which are designed in collaboration with MSI for its latest Z790 MPOWER board which offers some great memory overclocking capabilities at a super attractive price point. The module comes with XMP profiles starting at 6000 MT/s and up to 8000 MT/s.

This module will come in 32 GB and 48 GB kits and supports RGB sync with all the latest apps from ASUS, ASRock, MSI, and Gigabyte. Patriot also has its own Viper RGB 3.0 app for all your RGB needs. The memory is backed by a limited lifetime warranty.

Lastly, to demonstrate this memory kit, Patriot showcased a 10,000 MT/s overclock on the same kit on the AMD Ryzen 8000G platform which was done without liquid cooling and that’s as impressive as it gets when you consider that no LN2 cooling was applied here.
