AMD’s Radeon RX 7900 XT GPUs have now dropped down to a very competitive $699 US & are $100 US cheaper than the NVIDIA SUPER competition.
AMD Determined To “Steal” The Spotlight On NVIDIA’s Newly-Released Through Extensive Price Cuts As Radeon RX 7900 XT Now Available For $699 US
It seems like AMD is determined to tackle NVIDIA’s recently released RTX 40 SUPER GPUs. The AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT was originally launched at $899 US; we have since seen the card drop below that. The card first received its price cut a few months back when AMD positioned it at US $849, and we have also seen the card go below US $700 in certain promotional deals during Black Friday 2023. However, AMD recently announced an “MSRP revision” for the Radeon RX 7900 XT, dropping it down to $749 US, but it seems like this isn’t enough, as the GPU drops even lower.
This discount is a gift by AMD and its board partners to US consumers since the new promotional price is only available at Newegg, BestBuy, and Amazon. The variant to get the price drop is none other than Sapphire’s PULSE Radeon RX 7900 XT, which is a triple-fan one boasting great cooling performance and esthetics as well. The GPU is now available for US $699, marking a whopping 20% drop from the original $849 MSRP and a 7% discount from the revised MSRP. However, it seems like the Amazon deal has ended for now.
While certainly, the discount isn’t huge when considering the waves of price drops the GPU has witnessed, the GPU has become a great option in the $700-$800 price segment. This is a great deal for users waiting to get their hands on a brand new AMD Radeon RX 7000 graphics card. The RDNA 3 architecture delivers some great advantages, such as its higher VRAM versus the competition and support for the upcoming FSR 3 upscaling technologies. Moreover, when compared to the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, it features superior performance since it comes with a higher memory capacity.
We do expect further price drops moving into the future, especially from Team Red’s camp, since the RTX 40 SUPER GPUs have managed to take the spotlight in the industry, and the only way to “undo” this is through a wave of discounts, preferably all across the RDNA3 portfolio.
